A: The Autism Research Institute (ARI), a non-profit organization, was established in 1967. ARI is primarily devoted to conducting research, and to disseminating the results of research, on the causes of autism and on methods of preventing, diagnosing and treating autism and other severe behavioral disorders of childhood. We provide information based on research to parents and professionals throughout the world.

A: The ARI Web Conference is a collection of footage from the Defeat Autism Now! (DAN!) conference which was held on April 15-17, 2005 in Boston.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: There is no cost to subscribe to the web conference.
Q: When will I gain access to the web site footage?
A: You will receive an email with your password within an hour or two after
subscribing to the web conference.
Q: What are 'High Band' and 'Low Band' videos?
High Band videos are larger in file size and viewing size. They are recommended for users on DSL, ISDN and CABLE Internet connections.
Low Band videos are specially formatted for users on dial up modem internet connections.
Q: What type of viewer do I need to watch the videos?
A: You will need QuickTime player to watch the videos. If you do not know whether you have QuickTime on your computer, simply search your hard drive for the term 'QuickTime.'
